Ox Box Barbell - Explained

Ox Box Barbell or OBB is the introduction of our stand alone Olympic Weightlifting Program. Where as the old Oly Lifting program was designed to support the participants to move better in our CrossFit Classes. OBB is designed to support those athletes who are looking to focus on Olympic Lifting solely with the idea of possibly competing in Olympic Weightlifting Competitions. That is not to say that  you should not participate if you are not keen on competing, everyone is still welcome to participate.

OBB - DIFFERENCES

OBB is a 3 day a week training program with the extra day allowing us to build in more volume as well as exposure to complex training principles. While everyone is still welcome to participate in OBB, there is a higher expectation of you participating in the class, there is more volume, more complexity and requires you to be focused when training, not absent minded.

YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED TO LEARN AND SHOW COMPREHENSION

OBB - CYCLE 1

With call from our athlete to both compete and increase there overall performance in the Snatch and Clean + Jerk it was time to expand upon our Original Oly program. Here is the basic template that we will be using for the next 13 week - keeping in mind that there are a lot of variation that will come from this basic template.

Monday

 Snatch / Snatch Pull / Front Squat

Wednesday

Jerk / Push Press / Overhead Squat

Saturday

Clean + Jerk / Clean Pull / Back Squat
